How long is the drive shaft

I am swapping my 360, and auto for a 12v CTD and nv4500 tranny. I have an extended cab long box and 4 wheel drive. My question is how long does my new rear driveshaft have to be? As you can imagine a 12v, 4x4, mt, ext cab, long box is a relatively hard to find truck at a junk yard. The kicker is I can have a dshaft made cheaper then I can buy one from the *********** I just need to know how long to have it made.

Well, you already know the length of the old one. When you get all of the parts in, measure the distance between the yokes and have a drive line shop make one with the difference in measurements. Should be pretty straightforward.

Yeah I was just hoping to have everything ready to drop in so I didnt have to wai tto get parts in the middle of the swap. I own a landscaping company and taking one of my two trucks out of service for a couple days is going to hurt a little.
