I'm new to this forum, just joined. Have a 2000 2500 SLT Laramie, with a 4:10 rear end, long bed, quad cab. Have added a Banks brake plus their monster exhaust. Now for my problem - my tack is intermitent with the ck engine light on. Checked the code via turning ignition switch on and off. the display showed "P1693". I took it to a local parts store and they said it needed a "crank shaft position sensor". Can anyone help, what does the code mean? Thanks for your time rog

 

welcome to DTR wyo.. it might help in getting responses if you post your question in the right forum. This is 12valve only.. ie 94-98.. you want 2nd gen 24valve.. good luck
