Question Governor Lever adjustment

I was trying to adjust the governor lever on my #10 plate and dropped the screw down in the pump.Am I in a world of hurt or not? I put it all back together and the truck runs fine. Will this hurt anything to leave the screw out or should I get a new screw ?

Thanks,Randy

Randy I have done the same thing. Take about ticking off. Any way fish the screw out with a magnet. I did not wont to risk trashing the pump. good luck Jim

98Rammer did the same thing you did and wound up having to put in a new pump. The screw bent some rods inside the pump. Definately get that screw out before you run it again...

Ive dropped that screw more inthan my hands can count. Fished out everytime. There is a washer on it too. I would not start the truck untill the screw is out.

What is the best location to fish through? Should I go in thru the hole on the back of the pump were the screw was located or is there an easier way?

Thanks ,Randy

the back would be fine, just get it out. get a strong magnet about 3/8 in diameter or less.
