1st off, can a Getrag G360 go in a 2nd Gen? I suppose an adapter is neccessary, but other than that?

Also, which tranny is better? What are the advantages of either tranny? I searched but most all I could find was info on 1st gens that pretty much already had the G360s in em.

 

The Getrag is arguably as strong as the NV, but IMO, stress that IN MY OPINION, the NV4500 shifts a lot better.

 

I've heard of lots of issues with the getrag... lack of availability of parts, needing to be overfilled, early failures, etc.

I remember seeing a kit to convert early dodges with the getrag to the NV4500.

I would definitely stick with the NV.
