Truck had 1/4 tank and got topped of with gas then drive 20 miles. I'm going to drain 30 gallons then put 5 diesel back in hoping it will start. Is that correct?

 

I got 23 gallons out and put five diesel back in and it started right up.

Glad you got her going, treat her to a quart of 2 stroke oil as well......

 

There was no weird sounds at any point. When I was running 75% gas it just wanted to die when idling. When it was running on 50% gas it idled but just lower. It ran normal on the 80% diesel back to the house.

I will definitely dump some two stroke oil in when I get back in town. What ratio of two stroke oil do you recommend?

 

IIRC most people that add 2 stoke oil to their tanks as an added lube run about 1/2 an oz per gallon.
So a QT bottle at 32 OZ would do roughly two full tank fill ups.
