My truck is starting to make me sick.
If I am bringing outside air in (not recirculating) I am getting diesel fumes.
I suspect that I have some leaking flanges.
Can anybody point me to the right flange gaskets? (94 12 valve).
I've looked at Rock Auto and I guess they might be standard exhaust donuts but I'd rather have the parts on hand when I take it apart.
Any help is appreciated, as always.

Check if the gasket that seals the back of the hood is off.
It's common for them to partially fall off. Fumes will most definitely come in the cab then especially if the truck isn't moving.
I use 3m molding adhesive to glue them back on

Are you talking about the gasket that runs the width of the engine compartment?
This does come loose on one end but it has done that since the truck was new.
I push it back on and that's it.
If I am recirculating the air I don't have a problem but in the morning when I am using the defroster I come to a stop at the bottom of the first hill and I get a good dousing.
So what you are saying about when I am sitting still makes sense but the gasket is about the same as always.
I didn't even think about the breather tube. Could it just be the 276,000 miles is making more fumes from the breather tube?

I've got the same problem, pretty sure it's from the breather tube (or lack of). It's not always there but sometimes it gets stinky, seems to be worse when I block the radiator off.

Somewhere I saw a charcoal filter element kit that goes in the cowl somehow, maybe genos? that should reduce the smell if I ever get around to trying it. I don't sit in much traffic usually.

 

That's the one.
There are also some styrofoam pieces that seal the back of the underhood in the space between the fenders and firewall that come loose and end up in the wrong place.

Maybe the seal at the rear of your engine compartment is smashed down too much with age and isn't sealing good.
It's only a 3 inch jump from the underhood to the vent inlet.
