Which fuel/torque plate to use?

I have a 1996 Dodge 2wd club cab,automatic. AFR exhaust,Fresh air intake.
That's it for mods.
The tranny has just been rebuilt to factory specs including new stock type TC.
I am looking for better passing pickup and power.
I was told the #11 plate. I want to go as fast as possible, best fuel economy WITHOUT killing the tranny. Any suggestions?
I'll be taking the truck in for a timing change too.....I guess timing recommendations are aslo welcome.
Let's hear from you guys!

you will want something not too aggressive; I have a built tranny & a 215 pump, & a #10 works very nicely for me-I'm up to 24-25mpg on the highway if I drive sensibly. A 10 would be too big for your truck tho.

#10 is the best all around plate.
By sliding it back it will duplicate a #11, sliding forward a #5
Your foot is what controls mpgs, the plate makes no difference.
$35 plates on ebay are just as good as the pricey ones elsewhere.

Your best bet is doing a governor spring kit. I reccomend the 4k kit, especially with an auto. Just keep the rpms under 3200 with the pedal until you can get the 60lb springs in it (easy to do, these engines don't rev like a gasser). You can grind your stock plate to any profile you want. I like the 100 profile because it defuels a little down low and lets the fuel flow once the rpms get moving and your turbo is spooled. Full forward with the fuel plate will slip a stock tranny. You might want to do the 100 plate 1/16th of an inch forward of half and see how it runs. I ran the plate full forward and just controlled the tranny slip with my right foot.
