Ok so I pulled my prefilter a couple of weeks ago, it was pretty dirty cleaned it up.. but still want to just swap it out with new. I went to www.fleetguardfilters.com Can't find anything on this filter.. I have the thread on how to change with the parts numbers on it.. but they don't match up. Any help with anyone who has replaced this.. the o'ring is also in need of changing.

I just ordered the kit from Cummins, about $13 for screen, quad ring and gasket shipped to my door.You can do a search for Infidels part numbers, they are good.

 

Can you order online from cummins.. I get the corporation info going to cummins.com ...

heater strainer kit - Cummins p/n 3845400-S

 

Go to a john deere dealer and give them the fleetguard number/cummins number and they can get it. screen, nut, and o-ring were about $10.

is that prefilter in the tank or where?

 

It is in the fuel heater housing, mounted on driver side of engine block.

 

got the part from cummins west in sacramento. $13.?? including shipping. Truck seems a little more peppier.. also had the tranny adjusted, filter, & fluids changed.. so don't know which but is running good
