Don't know where you live but if it was a state with a mandated percentage of biodiesel in all #2 your hose would have lasted much less.
Coast Guard approved fire proof diesel hose will easily last decades.

That is not the case in Montana is it?

Not yet but the law has been passed that when we can make all the BD needed within the state 5% will be required.
Farmers started planting oilseed crops and few BD refineries opened, then the price of wheat shot way up.
Farmers lost interest, planted wheat instead, a couple refineries went bankrupt with no crop to feed them.
At this point who knows how long it will be till BD is required here.
