Duro 12 ply
Duro 12 ply
My fiver is a 1999 golden falcon tour edition and has 235/85 16" good year wranglers E rated on it and they are the tires that came on the fiver new. I want to replace them and ask my local tire dealer if I should put on a set of Michelin E rated. He said no, I should run a good trailer tire with a ribbed thread not a m/s or a/s. His suggestion is Duro st 235/85 16" 12 ply, F rated .He told me that my fiver will pull much easier with these than the Michelin`s . I would like to know if anyone here has used these tires and what they think of them. I will get them soon for this towing season, i just hate to spend $795.80 and get bad tires for my fiver. Thanks Don T
NO !put the michelin on it and go with XP rib .Duro are junk my friend just lost 3 of 4 that had a mid 2010 build date on them all 3 had seperated, #4 were keeping an eye on. or go with a set of GOOD YEAR G614S LR G I have a set and there 4 years old and still look new
straight ribbed tread is useless on drive wheels- trailer tires are designed with tread to be towed- they provide lateral grip and reduced rolling resistance - sound like what you want on the drive wheels of a truck with 500 ft-lbs available- especially in the rain???
