drums won't budge

So I go out and buy the gm wheel cyc today and go to put them on. Problem, can't get the drums to come off. I have soaked them in wd-40, beat on them, back the shoes all the way off. They won't move. Any ideas?
Heath

Check the thread on stuck rims. The procedure is this:

Put the rear on jack stands. Block front wheels. Remove rear tire(s). Put one or two lug nuts back on, loosely. Start truck. Run up to between 5 & 20 mph (general range I have read here). Slam on the brakes! Remove loosened drum.

They say it works for stuck rims, too, but I had to tap my rear rims off with a sledge hammer when I changed wheels/tires this last weekend.

Make sure you put lug nuts on before you hit the brakes or you WILL be chasing the drum down the driveway. I sometimes have to use reverse and drive, but it works evertime! Good luck.

Well worked great, just like you said popped right off. brakes work much better with the goofy gm parts , now if I could only get my pedal pressure to react a little quicker, more like my 04. Oh well. Thanks

Okay fellas, ive tried the truck on jack stands and hitting brakes method at multiple speeds with no aval. Ive noticed that the wheels wont lock up over 10-15mph.

I know that if i do a rear brake adjustment that it lasts for a few days and feels like it needs adjusting again. Mabye I should do an adjustment right before trying to pop the drums off again? Help! I want to do the GM swap but cant get the drums off to even inspect the guts. TIA -Jake

Try using the parking brake rather than the pedal with the wheels off the ground and spinning, forward and reverse.
