Drain plug torque

What's the correct torque for a Geno's drain plug? Iv'e put 90 ft/lbs on mine, and it still drips.

Thanks

44 foot lbs is about right..

I think the little gasket thing on yours has gone bad if you have to use 90 ft lbs..

If you used 90 ft/lbs you have likely warped the pan.
Buy one of the many drain valves available, clean and RTV, never have to remove it again.

I have a geno's drain plug and mine leaked too. I used a piece of 1/8 th inch pipeline gasket material either Durabla or Garlock will do. Cut the gasket to fit tight on the treads.
