Visit a Cummins Authorized Repair Center. It'll be the best money spent on your truck. They can diagnose your engine and correct everything much quicker and accurately than we are capable of doing. I took my '96 to one and the results were/are very impressive. Throttle response, pickup, power, and some fuel mileage all improved. Cummins makes a great engine, but Dodge required them to detune the 5.9 considerably to keep from breaking thier drivetrain. The repair center will tweak your engine using existing componets. They reset my pump, injectors, timing, fuel pressure, and other things. You'll be glad you did!
