im in the process of putting a he351ve on my 12 valve and found a 3rd gen. manifold for cheap. i was wondering if they would fit because it would be better than my present adapter flange...

 

I have read that they have different shaped ports.

 

12 valve-rectangle ports
Common Rail- round

 

The third gen exhaust manifold will bolt up ok. need new bolts and needs a little port match on the upper and lower part of the port. Just radius it and don't touch the sides. Use 2 stock steel 12V manifold gaskets on each port.
I installed the 3dr gen ATS manifold on my 12V and it works good and no leaks.

so would i need to put longer studs in??? and would i have to take it to a machine shop or could i grind it myself???

how do u guys think it will work with the he351ve

 

Is there an advantage to using the 3G manifold? Does it cure the cracking and bolt shearing problem?
