does oil pan have a baffle?

On my truck, if im forced to really get on the brakes, my oil guage will flatline, light pops on, then once at a rest, back to normal and resumes pressure.

I just checked the oil the other day, and it was a half quart low, i toppoed it off, and now it happens less, but still will happen if i brake hard enough.

Is there a baffle that is gone?
could the viscosity of the oil be so shot that its flowing around in teh pan more than normal?

im probably 400-500 miles over needing a change, but still.

Change the sender and if that don't fix it then worry about a loose oil pick-up tube.
