Do I need DV's

Thinking of ordering a set of 300 injectors for my truck to see if this will alleviate the bad miss I've developed over the last few weeks. Unless some previous owner changed them I think it still has the stock size in it now. I've read you need to upgrade to bigger DV's if going with 370's, what about the 300's. Will the stock ones feed them okay.

you can leave stock dv's but you will have alot more flow if you do injectors and dv's. The good thing i like about doing both is as long as you have a decent turbo, you can control prettymuch everything with the fuel plate and you probly wont have to upgrade the fuel side ever again. I am looking at 191 dv's and the 370 marine injectors. 700 bucks and ill have all the fuel ill ever need (hopefully). haha

ive had 370 marines in my truck since spring and it ran great. a little hot at times though. put the 191's in and holey cow.........even better. love the truck now. the only thing is that it does idle a little rough.

The stock 131 dv's in the 160 pump will work fine with 300's, did that for two years with mine. Of course eventually throwing in a set of 181's made a big difference on the bottom end torque.

I can't answer the 300 question, but I have a friend that had to upgrade to 191's in a 95 so that his 370's would run right. He eventually pulled those, couldn't stand the stumble and we put 215 injectors in it and advanced the timing, egt's are alot easier to control now.

Can you just put DV's in and upgrade injectors later? Or is that backwards??

The Bosch 300's and most 370's don't use the proper spray pattern, which will put the fuel outside the bowl in the piston. Not a good thing, and it gets worse with advanced timing. Do yourself a favor and buy injectors with the proper spray pattern. I'm not gonna specify vendors, but do some homework. You'll be more satisfied with your purchase.
