differance between a 160 and 215 p pump

Why is it alot of the big diesel shops prefer the 160 pumps over the 215s?
When the diesel shops make a bigger pump, they often replace the cam with something like a quick rate cam, they can change the B&P's, governor, etc. There is less of a demand for the 160's, so they can be had cheaper. And since a lot of the internals come out anyway, it doesn't matter.

Your engine data plate will state what pump you should have ie. 160 or 215 hp in regards to motor output. I have never seen a 160 truck with a 215 from the factory and vice versa.
