Dana 80 LS - internal parts discontinued by Dana

Has anyone recently tried to buy clutch kits for the Powr-Loc in a Dana 80? Seems I'm being told by Randy's R&P that Dana has discontinued the clutch rebuild kits for models with the Powr-Loc.

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Would not be surprised. You may be able to find at NAPA. They sometimes have great sources for parts if get the right counterman. then you can get a complete diff assy for less than 500 if I recall.

Is Dana still in business?
I know they filed for bankruptcy back in 2006.

Yukon bought up the rights to the Powr lok. I recently bought a complete internal kit for a 70 for less than $200. Aren't the clutches the same for 60's, 70's and 80's?

I just did a 70 in my RCC, no issues getting the clutches for that. $55. But when I ask for the 80, no luck.

One site I saw had the clutch kits listed as one kit for all three (60,70,80). If that is right, the 35 spline internals would all be the same. I know the internals of a 60 and 70 are the same.

the axles are the same, so I would think it is highly possible that the clutch parts are as well.

Yeah, I've only messed with the 70's, so I'll find out on the 80 stuff from the info I've received. Thanks everyone.
