My 96 dodge cummins 12v will not shut off with switch . maybe fuse . pulled the fuel shut off plug and it keep runing. if anybody has a clue thanks

Did your starter stick? It could also be the relay on the firewall by the master cylinder. I vote for the relay problem. I just don't remember which one it is.

Are you saying you pulled the connector to the shutdown solenoid apart and it kept running?
If that's the case I say you have a rusted or gunked up solenoid or linkages.

I would think that whe you unplugged it the spring would push the piston back down. Since it didn't I would start by taking it apart cause it seems the piston is bound up in the up position.
