Coolant gauge & idle problems

Hello, I need some help with few problems
1. All of the sudden my coolant gauge has stopped fluctuating from 190 to 140 as is normal. It now reads bet 190 & 230 with no up & down movement. Checked coolant level & its fine. The coolant itself & the motor are not hot at all. I can put my finger in radiator. I did notice I cannot see any circulation of the coolant when cap is removed. What gives?

2. Also all the sudden my truck wants to die when I turn the air on & drop it it drive. It doesnt want to die when its in neutral or when on the hi way. This starts as soon as I turn the fan on. What gives

Re:Coolant gauge & idle problems

fyi the motor wanting to die with ac on was due to too much refrigerant. dropped it from 70lbs to 40lbs and idle smooth now.<br>cb
