Checking for boost leaks..

Well, as some of you know, I seem to have some spoolup problems with my truck. I built a pressure tester tonight, and pressurized it. I mainly spent most of my time trying to get leaks stopped on my tester , but I did manage to find a small leak where the boost line runs into the AFC housing, and I got that fixed in like 2 minutes. Im gonna try it again tomorrow in the day time so I can see what Im doin, but so far that is the only leak I could find. I have only been able to pressurize it to about 10psi so far, but that is really the only time I have problems with spoolup is from 0-10psi. Now, I did go out on a test drive after I got the small leak stopped, and it does hold more boost at light throttle/loads, and does seem to spool a little faster from a roll in 3rd or overdrive, but It is still a dog mashing it from a stop. But as of right now, my main questions are, can you hear a leak if it is in the AFC diaphram, and how much should I pressurize the system to, and how long should it hold it? thanks guys.

Eric

where are you pressurizing the system from???

I have been wanting to check mine for leaks by pressurizing also but have not come up with an idea of how to do it. How did ya do yours?
