Question ccv into the exhaust?

I tried a couple of different routes with this. I am wondering about going to the exhaust?

I don't want more problems and try to gain less headaches down the road. I am wondering if you run it to the exhaust what are the issues with doing this. I did searching on this all last night and just wondering why more people don't do this? Is this good or bad.

I just want the smell and oil leaks gone......

thanks

Someone did this before, here (I don't remember who) but his experience was that even with a draft tube and playing with the angle of how and where it entered the exhaust he was getting exhaust pressure back in the crankcase. I think he ended up scrapping the idea. For the life of me I can't find it now. I'll try to find it...

Thanks. I was reading about this and you have to run it on a 45 deg angle. Also you have to run check valves and such. They sell whole kits but not sure how well or if they will work......

johnh did it several years ago. I found a thread where he mentioned it. Perhaps he will chime in with how he did it. Any chance of restriction or back pressure could start blowing seals though so be careful.

Quite a few folks have tried it over the years but run into back pressure problems and end up abandoning it.
What happens even with a check valve is pressure builds up in the crankcase and chooses he easiest way out, though the dipstick along with a bunch of oil.

It is done all the time on drag cars, and works pretty well.

Cummins sells a kit to route any blowby back to the intake side of the turbo to get burned. I have one on my rig.

With the blowby being re-routed back to the intake, won't that gum up the intercooler? I have been thinking of a way to do it, but as of yet I don't have a plan...TRCM, I'd love to see your setup.

I'll check out the Cummins site to see if I can find it.

One of the first mods to a PSD or TDI engine is to delete the crank vent feed into the intake.

The other option is the CCV filter kit from PEAK... I have considered this since I have a large stain on my driveway.

CCV Ventilation kit

Ahh...I like the look of that. I might have to make one of those...It seems that there is your normal vent filter on the top...That looks pretty straightforward.
