ive seen that in the tst kit it comes with the plate and boost elbow. my question is how does it accutaly increase your boost? the fitting looks like something i can get from the parts store. and grind my own plate=more hp.???

The boost elbow that comes with the kit has a smaller orifice in it so it raises the max boost. If you already have a fuel plate on your truck you can add an adjustable boost elbow to raise boost if needed.

 

If you aren't adding so much fuel or you can control your foot to prevent overboost you can often get by with just blocking the line to the wastegate rather than using an elbow.
A 1/4" bolt or a .22 shell with a hose clamp to plug the line works excellent as long as you aren't exceeding 35psi boost often.

 

if u use an adjustable boost elbow it keeps the wastegate from goin off at 18or 20 psi..it allows u to go above that.. mines at 40 right now
