Block Swapping
I have a 1994 12 valve engine from a burned UPS truck that has some heavy pitting in 2 cylinders that won't hone out, the other 4 still have the crosshatches. I also have access to a 1990 block that had a broken camshaft. Will the blocks interchange, or would I be better off to have the block bored. How expensive are oversize pistons?
Thanks.
Thanks.

You mignt try to find a machine shop that works on trucks and ask if they could sleve your block , this makes it like the semi truck eng. were they can do an inframe rebuld by pulling the sleves -now removable cylinders- insted of honeing or boreing the block , they used to do it to CAT. 3208 s , before that they called em throughaway engines.

Oversized pistons are not that expensive from Cummins. Or the better way is to bore it sleeve it and bore it to stock. Never heard of a wet sleeve conversion on the B engine, would be too expensive anyway.
