Anybody know what it takes in the way of wiring to swap a overdrive auto into another truck? Any help would be appreciated.

 

Is it a 47rh or a 47re or even a 48re? Are they the same year trucks? Is it from one with a 24v or a 12v? You should give us a little more info.

Just looking at a 12valve auto swap for a friend into a early ford and I don't know anything about the auto's. It could be whatever we find. I honestly didn't know there were different ones except the early 518's and the 47's . Sorry to be so dumb but the only way to learn is to ask! He does want a overdrive and a auto though.Thanks

 

Well. if you had the donor truck right there it would make it easier. If it is a 12v 47re, then the computer and related harnesses would be needed. If it is a 47rh, then it is hydraulicly controlled.
