Arrow ATS Torque Converter question

Hi guys. Anyone have any experience or know of someone with experience with an "ATS Five Star Viskus Clutch Drive Torque Converter"??? I need to upgrade my torque converter and was leaning towards this one. Or should I be thinking of something else? Thx guys...

I know Goerend Trans has excellent converters with a lifetime warranty. Great customer Service

A good single or triple disk is plenty. Have Goerend 3d T/C and built trans. Great stuff.

ATS is holding up real good!!! Other than the hard lockup.

Ats is about the worse i have ever ran. We have one in the pulling truck with the full blown set up and its not worth the money. When the converter locks up it will lug the truck really hard dont know how this can help anything unless you are running a whole lot to it.

bairwin:

Unlike DTR Member "turboguy121" I have been running "ATS Transmissions and Torque Converters" since 2001 with excellent service and reliability from ALL of them! I started with one of their first "ATS TripleLok" Converters and ran that TC in my 1996 Dodge CTD 12 valve but switched to the "ATS Five-Star" two years ago and am very happy with it. IMHO,...the Five-Star shifts much smoother that the TripleLok did. I also have a TripleLok in my 2006 Dodge CTD CR Truck. That same converter was previously in a 2002 Dodge CTD 24 valve truck that I had and when I sold the the 2002, I just put all my components from the 2002 into the 2006. That converter is now over SIX YEARS old and still works great.

My 1996 Dodge CTD 12 valve has over 800 H.P./1500ftlbs of torque and I drag race and dyno my truck constantly, but do take good care of it. The ATS Five-Star has handled all the abuse I have thrown at it for over two years now with no problems whatsoever! I would highly recommend the ATS Five-Star Torque Converter to you. ATS gives their customers a three-year, 150,00 mile warranty on their transmissions and are great people to deal with.
