which atf for tranfer case?

which atf for tranfer case?
was looking at Royal Purple or Castrol Dexron VI or Amsoil...
anyone have any advice?

i used castrol ATF +4 last time i changed it. works just fine, a little expenxive i thought but i couldnt justify driving 40 miles to get amsoil.

atf +4 avail at some walmarts in Mopar or super tech brand

97s only called for Dexron III as I recall. Anything else is overkill, IMO.

You mean ATF+3, they discontinued production of that stuff, it might get hard to find.

No... I mean Dexron III for the transfer case. The automatics in 97 called for +3, now +4.
