98 Dodge Tranfer Case is leaking Help

I have a 98 Cummins 4X4. The transfer case is leaking. It leaking in about the size of my fist on the ground over night. How hard is it to change all of the gaskets on one of these? Is there any directions online or could someone direct me on how to do this. The dealer wants a million $$ to do it so I would rather try it myself.

Thanks
Garth

I dont think there are any gaskets. I ripped mine down to fix leaks at the chain section and all it was is permatex (black). It is not that hard to do but make sure you get your surfaces real clean. You can buy a rebuilt unit for $695 with a warranty if all else fails. Tim

I'm ok with a wrench but know nothing about transfer cases. If I remove it will AT trans fluid get all over the place from the Trany? Should I just try tighting everything up before I pull it?

Your trans fluid should not leak out, there is a seal on the trans o/d output. If the seal is bad there is a drain hole that will be leaking. I would check your bolts first but mine were tight. Tim
