Arghh-- fuel lines removal
How the heck do you remove the old fuel hoses and tubing near the fuel filter cannister?????
The supply line has a 10mm hose support clip (that secures hose to engine block) that I can see but not get off,
when I get a 10mm wrench on it, I can't loosen it and no room for a socket head.
Return line also tight where old hose attached to steel line and again
can't get to the support clip
I hate leaving old stuff hanging on my engine like this
I have already moved the master cylinder, etc,
Is there anything else I can remove?
Is it possible to remove the top cover of the fuel filter cannister?
Or ????

Have you removed the fuel filter canister? I found it cleared a lot of room to get to the rubber fuel hoses and clamps when I changed mine out about 3 years back. I also used the time to change the filter while it was out.

I replaced mine quite a few years ago and I am now thinking that it may be time for another change. I removed the fuel filter, moved a wire harness and the relays. I also had my starter off. The engine clip at the rear of the engine was not a problem to remove. If you can get a wrench on it, use a cheater bar to get more leverage. For the hose to steel line connection, I worked from beneath the engine. I could reach up between the fuel heater and engine block with a long screw driver. Once you get the clamps off, you can try cutting the hose off with an exacto knife. Or, you can make a pry bar to force the old hose off. I changed all my clamps and went with SAE clamps. I tightened everything working from below. This was a long time ago so memory is fuzzy.
