another converter question
I currently have a billet single disc converter and a modified valve body with the line pressure turned up. When i slide my fuel plate all the way forward i can slip my converter about 400 rpms when its supposed to be locked. What i want to know is if i get a tripple disc converter will it hold more torque without increasing the line pressure more? I'm not 100% sure on how these clutches work but i know on a motorcycle when you add plates it just gives you a softer clutch which is desired for controlling power when racing but to increase the holding capability you need stronger cluth springs which is comparable to line pressure on a converter. any help is appreciated.

that is the selling point of the tripple disc converter. 3 times the surface area is supposed to give you 3 times the holding power. Weather that is really the case I can not say. That said I have a georend tripple disc in my truck and have had no slipping under any conditions. I am somewhere around 350hp. My sig is not up to date.

im looking to get into the 400-500 hp range at which point i will have done billet shafts, i just want to hold what i have (maybe up to 350-360 range soon) and be able to put everything to it once im done modding. i dont have the money for billet shafts right now so they will have to wait. anyone putting 500+ hp through a tripple disc on a 12v? or 600+hp on a 24valve? (no offense but the 12v's usually make more torque per hp when compared to the 24v's)
