95 auto tranny

My friend has a 95 2x5 reg cab auto with the stock plate slid all the way forward. It has 100k on it ans is slipping and sometimes it will not shift into OD. He just put guages on the truck and he put the tranny guage he took out some kinda sensor and put his tranny temp guage there. After that the tranny started haveing problems. Is it the sensor being out that is the problem or does he need a new tranny? Before the guage install it shifted really well. He has only 2-3k to spend and would like to get a solid answer before he spends the money.
Thanks
DM01

I would suggest that either you or your friend check with Bill K. at www.dieseltrans.com to see what you need to do.
Tom

Re:95 auto tranny

The sensor he removed was the fluid temp sensor...this will effect O/D lockup...if he wants to keep this sensor out then a resister has to be wired in
