Got a call from a local junk yard about a 5 speed trans out of a 1/2 1995 ram truck. He said this truck has a v 6 in it.Were there more that one style 5 speed manuals build ? or will the 5 speed trans work in my diesel truck.He will supply everything I need to change my truck for an auto to a std for $200.00 .So IF this trans will work I will be a happy camper . I hope someone here can give me the good or bad news , as to will the trans work!

 

That would be the NV3550, not nearly the strength of the NV4500, nor will it bolt up. You could grab all the clutch pedal assembly and accessories though, then all you need is the tranny and t-case (if 4wd).
