Well... if you have a good volt meter you could check voltage drop, otherwise start at the battery and clean both terminals, then clean the ground at the block, then move on to the ones on the inner fender. If you can find a ground clean it, use a wire brush. If you want to do a voltage drop test this link explains it pretty good
