need the plug that is for lock up and over drive that plugs into a 47re. some of the plug pins are comming out the back and wont lock in. starts off in second and wont even move in the mornings for a bit. anybody know were to get a plug? 97 or 98 truck i think. just put a trans in it

Some of the big Dodge dealers have a box of miscellaneous connectors you can dig though, other than that junkyard.
The 47RE was used till '02 and on the gassers also, don't know if the connectors were the same but it might give you more to sift though.

 

My truck is doing the same thing, I replaced the 8 pin connector that plugs into the trans but no change.

 

you can buy that plug from any tranny shop. Mine was about $20.

 

good luck- my tranny shop had to find a truck in a junk yard and section the main harness when mine went. Dealer had nothing- only available the whole main engine harness to the tune of $800...and a six month wait while it was made for me.

 

Here you go, 47 bucks new, might be cheaper elsewhere. Also, the plug is the same from 42RE up, so gassers, etc will work out of a junkyard.
