47 RE transmission differences from '96-'02?
I drive several manual trucks, so I don't pay as much attention to the autos.
Is there any differences in the 47 REs over the years?
I have a spare '96 4x4 47 RE and I have a guy with a '01 that needs an auto transmission.
Are there any wire plug ins, or anything else that change over those years?
Thanks for any insight on this subject.

Only difference will be in 98 they changed the trans filter to a 2 screw retention and around 2000 they changed the resistance value for the temp sensor so you have to add a resistor to get the values back in line.
Also the 96 and the 2001 will have different styles solenoids and pressure transducers but I don't think there is anything other than they don't interchange.... just keep type with type.
