You were right on the money about the truck shops not having the right flange for the 40, I had to go the the diesel shop that sold the turbo. They make a flange and 4in. down pipe to fit it. I'm just getting ready to weld the rest of the exhaust up this afternoon then see if I like the 40. Just driving it down the road it doesn't seem to spool quit as quick as the hybrid but it still holds about 5 lbs. of pressure at 65 mph and spools right up. I haven't hammered it yet something about the exhaust dumping right under the cab is kind of loud.

once it starts spooling, it'll hit like a freight train, it'll just take a little more RPM to light it off... you're gonna love the difference on the big end. it probably won't be as big a difference since you're coming from a hybrid vs. a bone stock turbo, but it should still be pretty substantial...

w/ the stock turbine side, it felt like my truck was just choked off above ~2500-2600ish... w/ the HX40, it was just starting to get good there!

Well, I took it down the road, the guy I got it from unhooked the wastegate. I wasn't hitting full throttle and it was up to 45 lbs. when I got out of it. I am going to get a elbow and line tonight to hook up the gate and waste it at 40 like you said. The truck really needs a bigger turbo or the twins on it to reach full power. I really didn't notice any difference in power but like you said it only gained on the exhaust side. The truck was dead at about 3500 but it will turn tighter. I really wasn't looking for a great gain. The 02 got the hybrid on it a few minutes ago, it probably isn't going to be enough either when the drag comp gets hooked up tomorrow. If some of the parts we have for sale move a BB edge turbo is in one of the trucks future. Thanks for all the info Forrest, it is greatly appreciated. Thanks,Gary

Ya, and I still want some lazer cut deliver valves and maybe a little water with some alcahol and maybe a shot of nitrous and I ask the shop about a built pump. I really need to stop on my work truck, I'll probably fix it till it's broke!
