Just trying to identify how much I got ripped off on my turbo! Can anyone post a couple pics of 40's and 35's I wanna check and see what I got cause I was told a 40 but piers says its a 35 he hasn't seen it yet though just heard about it. Just wanna see some pics.

Ok now the stock wastegate and I believe the 40 point to the front of the truck mine points towars the fender of my truck like towards the tire. I thnk its a 35. Are there any upgrades available for quicker spool up?

 

Take it apart and measure the exhaust and compressor wheels.<br><br><br>J.R.

 

Can you give me the sizes they should be if I measure the compressor wheel won't it tell me which I have? also can I make a twin out of a stock turbo and a 35?

 

Measure both exhaust wheels off both chargers. If they are the same then you have two 35's.<br><br><br><br>J.R.

 

My HX40 has a bracket for the waste gate off the housing.<br>My HX35 has the wastegate holes &amp; cutout on the compressor housing itself.<br>I also have the PDR HX35 w/14cm nonwastegate for SALE, it is only 2weeks old.<br> Danny

 

It's easy enough to tell if it's a HX40 as the 40 has a different exhaust pipe hookup from a 35. Requires a v-band clamp. Sometimes you'll also run across a hybrid 35 which can have a 40 compressor mounted to a 35 body. The hybrid 35s are pretty good turbos. Of course, it could also be a kwik spool 40 with a 35 exhaust housing mounted to a 40 body. They're good turbos also.

 

With the HX40 you`ll need a new elbow and a real 4&quot;Down pipe not necked down to 3&quot;. Jamie the HX40 in your sig is this the one you just bought or do you have 2?

I Only have one and its the one in my sig but I am sure now thats its a 35. Im gonna have to fugure out whick housing I have then and go from there anyone can you help further in identifying the housing for me if I can post some good pics On truck though? I am sure its a 35 not because I used the stock downpipe mine didn't come with anything else. So I know its small. The turbo is different from stock though the wastegate is diff and the compressor is way bigger.
