hi guys, i just installed a 3k pacbrake gsk in my 97 12v automatic last night.. it runs perfect and pulls nice all the way to 2500, then it doesnt seem to want to rev past that.. i have stock timing, a #10 plate in the stock position, AFC full forward, boost elbow, transgo TFOD, cone filter, 4" diamond eye, i think thats it.. its hitting 32psi no problem and my EGTs wont go past 900 wide open locked in drive up a hill unloaded.. based on egts im thinking i need more fuel to get it to rev higher, what do you guys think? oh yeah my starwheel is untouched, should i play with that or slide the #10 ahead or remove the plate completely? thanks in advance

 

sounds like you might have left some shims in or the springs are to tight
when you installed them did your RPMs change?

 

Tighten the springs up.

 

rpm stayed the same as before, runs perfect.. stud protrusion was .046" before and after, no shims left in other than on the large outer spring which pacbrake told me to leave in when i called to double check.. wouldnt tighter = more RPM anyway?
