New guy with diesels.

Been driving my truck about 3 weeks now and loving it.

Question on the tranny:

It shifts throught the gears real nice, but when it goes into 3rd, the rpm will go to 2500-2600 and hang there for a bit (several seconds, seems like forever) before shifting into 4th, then shifts into OD and pulls like crazy.

Is this normal? Any adjustments I can make?

I'll be installing th 3k GSK kit soon, will this help?

Mine did the EXACT thing on my '95 Ram 2500 with the 360... and the transmission was built well...

 

Yes the GSK will help a lot. I couldnt hardly get mine to shift into overdrive when i had a stock tranny with the transgo shift kit(even before the transgo), and a fuel plate. Under wide open throttle it would go to 3rd, and then just hang there, and finally hit overdrive. I tried adjusting the TPS with no help. Put the GSK in, and it shifts much better. Shifts about perfect under WOT actually. Let us know your results.
