2wd to 4wd???

Just wondering how much it would cost me to make my truck 4wd. Pics of my truck are in my garage. It sits up as high as a 4wd. I dont really think it would be that hard. Just get a new front axle, transfer case, and a shorter drive shaft. Tell me what ya think?

You pretty much have it nailed down , that truck appears to be the cab/chassis model , with the solid front axle. It would be as simple as bolting in the front axle , to the existing trailing arms , mounting up the transfer case (keep in mine you will have to change the tail housing of the tranny) then mount up the driveshafts. If you could find a regular cab 4x4 donor truck , you could pull everything you need off of it.

Well, you'd need to regear the rear axle according to the front..

Why would you need to regear the REAR lker? if he likes the gearing he has now , he can find a front axle with the same gearing.

Maybe Teddy and hotmopr can meet somewhere for a weekend and swap parts, but i have no idea how far apart those states are

West Coast vs Mid-Atlantic/East. Ya'll each just drive to Kansas and swap trucks. There - problem solved. I'm so smart.

So how much do you think it would cost me for everything. From what I can figure, i will need,
1. A new front end
2. Transfer Case
3. Shorter Driveshafts

Am i forgetting anything? How hard will it be to run the vaccum lines??
