when I hook up straps to a truck and we do some pulls, should I definetly be in 4 LO or 4 HI?

 

Ive done four truck pulls

and lost only one to a third gen dually, Its all about traction, I usually use Third gear and low (with a good clutch), wait for the other person to break at least one tire then just pull em on back.... I havent pulled again since the loss but this worked on a 7.3 diesel, a 6.0, diesel, and (dont ask) a 6.0 chevy gasser the easiest...

4 low is what I use

 

We use 4low start out in 1st shift to 2nd then lock the converter up in my sons truck 98 24v 3:54 with 33" allterains

 

Well considering I have an auto and with 33" intero Trxus, you definetly would say 4LO and have the TOW/HAUL on?

 

tow haul will only lock your truck up in 3rd gear...

are you talking tugowars or sled pulling?

 

I think hes talking about pulling another truck.
