Ok I never looked at that I planned on going over the fuel system anyway as I planeed on changing the fuel filter and that would be a good time to trace everything out and really evaluate the problem. I will look at this and see if this is also a problem. Thanks for the advise as Im no mechanic but I do follow good directions.

The shutdown solenoid has two coils, one to lift that's only energized when the starter's cranking and a hold coil to keep it up after the engine is running.
Sounds like somethings going on with your hold circuit.
Most common problem is a bad ASD relay in the underhood fuse box but could be the key switch, wiring or blown fuse #9 on the dash.
