Where are you from I'll take you up on a 26mpg bet!

.
what would the bet be for? i believe he can pull that mileage no problem.
maybe i need to let one of the chapter 35 members check for yall, maybe im not doing something right.
ok i filled up before going to CS yesterday cause i didnt want to fill up early the next morning. i had 125.3 miles on the trip and it took 4.1 gallons to fill up. this is by far the best ive ever seen, it surprised me. i just had the windows tinted so i was running with the a/c the whole time but the fill up befor that i got 18 with highway going 70. maybe my truck is retarted.

A true test for 27mpg would be to run ur truck from full all the way to empty, you should be able to run 945 miles on a single 35 gallon tank......

I think some of it has to do with foaming of the diesel.

...like you said earlier Rick...I want some of what clutch is smokin' too!! No wait, on second thought... All serious-ness aside, it WOULD be great to get that kind of mileage; just don't think it'll quite get that! clutch, 125mi just wouldn't be all that accurate due to differences in topped off fuel levels, temperatures, and several other factors. The real deal would be as stated above; a complete run-out of a full tank, right? Man...I would LOVE to see 900mi on a single tank!!

I got 19mpg again last tank, that was with hauling the dirt and my trailer for a 100 miles or so, and the rest racing around (acelling to the speed limit with alot of boost, lol). This next tank i'm gonna drive as smooth and nice as I can to see if I can break my best mpg mark.

I got between 10 and 14 depending of terrain and weather with my 97 2500 5-speed, 4.10's with a lance camper on it and an always loaded to the max 3 horse logan slant load behind it. Never faster than 65/2400rpm but didn't have to do alot of upshifting either. Loved that truck.
