people keep suggesting timing of 16. But from what I read the timing on a 5sp is 12.5 from the factory and not 14 like the autos. Are people still suggesting timing of 16 for the 5sp? I have no mods yet. I am trying to fix my mileage problems before I get a plate or do any other mods. I only plan on gauges plate gs3k and bhaf.

 

16.5 is a nice improvement regardless of pump

 

i tried 17 on my 97 and did not like it so i went to 15.5 and liked it much better. little more pep in the lower end.

 

Currently at 16 degrees. Good all around improvement in power and starting.

 

Called the local shop and they don't do timing. now I have to find someone around here that does. Any suggestions for south eastern South Dakota?

 

if you live in Indiana, jessup can do alot for a 12V

 

I set it at 16.5* and notice a nice improvement over stock. Next on the list .. #6 fuel plate.
