Good thing u already have gauges. So report back once u've done a 10 plate and moved the afc forward etc and let us know how it feels. U can move the 10 plate all the way forward for more power, but just start by puting it back where it came out, and move it forward if u want more power.

I had to replace the water pump on my 12v and what a breeze. Two bolts and done, draining and filling the anti-freeze was the most time consuming. So far all the repairs I've done myself have been pretty straight forward to do, with a help from the guys on this forum.

2 questions:

1. Were short bed ext cabs made in 94-98.4?

2. I assume the manual tranny is alot tougher than the 47re? or is it 46?

Just called about a '96 Cummins 2500 ext cab 4x4 with 67k in the paper, but forgot to ask about bed length.

No short bed 2500 untill 98, and then only with the extended cab. And yes the NV4500 in the manual trucks is a stout piece, and the clutch is stronger than a stock auto.
