12 valve to chevy swap

i am thinking about doing a 12 valve swap in to my 1996 chevy it has a nv 4500 i was thinking 94-98 cummins .they have t.p.s do i need to use it?.
i could use some help if some one has done it befor .

Sounds like a good swap. On the 12 valves, only the autos came with a TPS. You should be fine without it using an NV4500. Be aware, I think the NV4500 the Chevs used was different than the one Dodge used. Smaller input shaft on the Chev, and different bolt spacing to the bell housing.

Actually, 96 was the first year they used common cases, so you are good there. Minimum you will need input shaft.

Easy enough swap, 2WD or 4?
