Need some advice. Here's the story...

Was going uphill when the truck jumped like the pedal got stepped on. Just as i was saying what the ... it went to full throttle for about a second then the pedal went dead. After about 2-3 seconds, it came back and everything was ok again. 1/4 mile later same thing. Then a little after that the throttle just went dead for a couple of seconds. The same thing happened about a month ago and the check engine light came on. Had it read and said the TPS was the reason for the light (didn't get the code). Was told to keep an eye on it, if it happens again, expect to have to change it. Light came on this time again and figured the same thing.

Does this sound like a TPS? What can i expect to pay for one? and is it an easy install?
