Now I don't even have a spare for when my lines rust out, fortunately, Vulcan products still sells the Drawstraw.

Hey Pete,It seems to me the problem is not the lift pump, but the lack of freedom in that RV park.I live in San Carlos Mexico and pull a trailer every year to Vancouver and back.San Carlos is a fantastic place, you should check it out,let me know if you can make it.

Hey Pete, sounds like you experienced the same thing that pretty much killed the 24V's reputation in Monatana back in 03-04. getting stuck miles from the nearest lonely place or off highway really put a dent in farmers lives, so its mostly toyota's on the west side...
When I am over there an occasional stranger will ask if "that thing still runnin?!" and I just say yeah, a few thousand later and she is...for now!
Love my truck, but have that nagging little feeling she's gonna strand me somewhere.

I too have a 2002 3500 but with the engine mounted lift pump.
My truck is starting to play up - transmission and power probs (possible PCM related ?).
I also have a 1986 F250 with the 6.9 IH diesel in it - turboed. I am seriously considering putting some money into this old F250 as it has yet to leave me stranded anywhere in 27 years of ownership.
I do like the Ram 3500 truck but have serious concerns over the computer controlled equipment and it's tendency to go wrong for no apparent reason.
Just thought I would mention the old F250 as it has given me stirling service - more than I can say about my 2002 Dodge 3500 truck.
