engine fan question

engine fan question
My fan is missing a blade I'm wondering if a fan off a 318 or big block would bolt to the clutch or if the whole thing would bolt up. And what year cummins fans would work? 89-02?

Nope the other mopar fans do not work...I tried! I have a bunch of fans and clutches from mopars I've parted over the years. And when I noticed the fan on my cummins was bent I thought it would be a simple swap with one I had in the shed.
They will bolt on to the clutch, but they wave the wrong back spacing to clear the harmonic balancer. And of course the clutch from a gasser won't attach to the fan hub on the cummins since it's a simple, reverse thread, mounting system.
So you will need a new fan from a cummins motor. The 2nd gen fans can be bought new from your local chrysler dealers ship. I got mine off e-bay for about $70. Bolted right on with no problems.
