longer wheel studs

so I was about to put my spacers and 4th gen wheels on my truck and I don't like how short the studs are. with the spacers i can only get about half of a lug nut on the stud. i need either a longer 1/2" stud or a longer M14 stud. spacers are actually made for M14 studs so I have lug nuts for 1/2" and M14. would like them to be atleast an inch longer than stock. thank you very much in advance

Do an internet search on putting Ford Alcoa wheels on a 1st gen Cummins. I found a fair amount of info with some digging. Also some part numbers for longer studs and 9/16" studs. I don't remember which forums it was on. Probably here, OilBurners, 1stGen.org, CumminsForum, etc.
If I remember right the rears weren't too hard to source but pretty pricey ($4/stud). The fronts seemed to be a real bugger to find. You have to be careful how big the knurled shoulder of the stud is or you can crack the drum/rotor. Good luck with it.

i just ordered some fancy shmancy gorilla nuts that have a shank on them that go down into the spacer to add .30" of bite. should be able to get almost the full nut on with those. add some loctite and 120 ft/lbs. i will be checking these after 10 miles, 50 miles, 200 miles, and then if they're still holding torque, in another 400 miles. i'm going on a road trip this weekend so I guess i'll be carrying 4 spares with me just in case...

yep, those are similar to the ones i got, same company anyhow, but i got the open ended ones that only require a 13/16" socket. thin wall 13/16" socket is the biggest that will fit inside the spacers.
